A: Dress for Success Worldwide is an international non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of women located in 85 cities across the U.S., Canada, the U.K., the Netherlands and New Zealand. The professional clothing, employment retention programs and ongoing support that they provide their clients symbolize faith in every woman's ability to be self-sufficient and successful in her career.

 Q: Where can I donate kid's clothing?

A: First Place Schools is a service agency devoted to educating and nurturing children whose families struggle with the risk or reality of homelessness. They offer housing, culturally relevant education and support services enabling families to achieve permanent stability. First Place provides the following services to families at no cost:

  • Quality Education in a safe, small classroom setting for children in grades K through 6th grade including assessment and evaluation.
  • Counseling, case management and social services to empower children and their families to achieve stability.
  • Basic Services such as a nutritious breakfast, lunch and snack, clothing, school supplies, transportation, health screenings and referrals, and art and therapy.
  • Services to facilitate student placement and transition in to the most appropriate school setting.

Q: Where can I donate household goods?

A: Community Services for the Blind and Partially Sighted helps thousands of blind and visually impaired individuals remain active and independent. They rely on the support of donors to meet the growing need for the independent living services they provide. Residents can place donations outside their homes for free pickup. Donations are sold in bulk to Value Village stores. This operation not only provides a convenient service for those wishing to get rid of unwanted items, but it also keeps excess waste out of the landfill and supports their programs at the same time!
